Sunday thoughts... There is more to Artemis' design than appearance. Her interactive, sensory-driven details, make existing in this space a deeper experience than I imagined. With each glide of a dial and flip of a toggle bar I'm reminded of her design origins, and her ability to take me just about wherever I'd like to go.
Her delicate interior makes each movement an intentional one. The scent of coffee in the morning and campfires in the evening can not be inhaled deeply enough. And the ever-changing landscape somehow feels more peaceful and still than the stationary view from my kitchen window. The sense of freedom while contained in this tiny space is overwhelming, and brings me so much joy 🖤...

Seeing project materials come together in a seamless way is one of our favorite parts of the design! Here’s a sneak peek at the palette for another student housing development in the works, this one also located in Florida.
Inspired by the rich history and vibrant design’s of Florida’s urban centers, this palette is a refined study of art deco and textural modernism. The well-curated juxtaposition layers lush textures and hand-molded tiles accented by brass and geometric shapes. Locale played a role in material inspiration, as seen in the terracotta breezeblocks, biophilic tiles and venetian plaster.

Wrapped up design this week for an executive office suite with mid century modern feels. Placing orders this upcoming week with hermanmiller (naturally) for furniture and having kick off meetings@with our talented fabricators partners so we can deliver this space soon....
Before a project is complete, it must be designed to meet the aesthetic of the client. Establishing this vision for the space oftentimes means working alongside our client to do things like creating mood boards or finding inspiration in the products they make or customers they serve.
When we presented a few different mood boards to bakesaletreatparlor, a new bradleyfairwichita dessert shop, the surprising favorite that rose to the top was “Grandma’s Kitchen” —a nostalgic look inspired by the feeling of sitting in that unpolished and cozy kitchen, biting into your grandma’s famous handmade-with-love cookies. Then, with the vision in place, the design process could begin.
Flip through to find the mood board that set the tone for Thrive Restaurant Group’s newest space.
Sun Room: Faded terracotta sets the tone for a warm and inviting space. We created a retreat using warm hues inspired by Floridian sunsets. Terracotta breeze blocks, reeded wood tambour, and unglazed red brick were selected to impart a permanence and material variety while adhering to the monochromatic storyline.
Cruising to craterlakenps and visitbend today and thinking about visiting all these incredible places and then being able to come back to this cozy bed because going from hotel to hotel is not exactly comfortable or relaxing and this trip has been a great reminder as to why we did this build in the first place.
If you all have any recommendations we would LOVE them 🖤...
