Solid Wood Tambour

Solid natural wood tambour has all of the benefits of real wood. It’s durable and can be stained or painted to match your application. In addition, it has the ability to flex around curves and corners giving a modern look to an otherwise normal installation.

Unlike other companies – we produce a true 96″ slat length. Looking for 9 foot? 10 foot? more? No problem! Depending on the wood species – we can go up to 12 feet slat length!

Our standard size panels are include 1′ x 8′ slat length, or 1′ x 3′ slat length. We can also discuss the best custom sizes we make for your application. Standard widths are 12″ and 16″ wide. (Nominal size width. As these panels are hand assembled – width will not be a true 12″ every time.)

We typically stock red oak, white oak, and poplar. We also offer mahogany, cherry, ash, maple, walnut, and rare specialty woods may also be available (purple heart, heat treated ash/poplar, etc.). We can also produce custom wood profiles! If there is another species or slat profile you’re interested in, don’t hesitate to call and ask. Many profile options are available including, 383 (SW-15), 374 (SW-30), 375 (SW-42)

In addition to a multitude of standard profiles, we also can produce custom profiles upon request.

With a low set-up cost as well as a small minimum square footage, this allows you to truly create the look, texture, and feel you’re searching for!

Our tambour is all on a flexible backing but that doesn’t mean you need to install in around curves or bar fronts. It also allows easy installation!

Typically, panels are glued up over any rigid substrate with a standard paneling or construction adhesive. With the thicker profiles, we do recommend some finishing nails to hold them in place until the adhesive kicks.

Real Wood Veneer and Metallic Tambour

NEW: 4’x10’ veneers -now go seamless up to 10 foot high! Call for current availability, lead time, and pricing – 4’x10’s will be available in: 331 Birch, 331 Teak (black groove), 331 White Oak, 331 Walnut, 631 White Oak, 332WB White Oak and 632WB White Oak.

Most of our tambour veneers are in stock and ready to ship the same or next day. Our real wood veneer tambour is sold in 4’x 8′ size sheets. We have a variety of species including Teak, Red Oak, Maple, and Brushed Aluminum and White Vinyl. Please visit our photo gallery to see additional installation photos as well as the various profiles and species. These are sold unfinished but we do have finishing options available. These are all on a flexible backer as well which can be used around curved surfaces.

We have 3 new options available in this new wire brushed finish! Using a thicker real wood veneer face we we’re able to wire brush them to bring our far more detail and grain depth! While they look great unfinished, putting a clear coat or stain on them works to bring out the grain appearance even more! Wire brushed red oak, wire brushed white oak, and wire brushed ash! These are a great alternative for budget minded projects! Perfect for flexible wood wall paneling in restaurants, bar fronts, hotels, tambour doors, and more! The possibilities are endless!
